The Nigerian equities market closed the week bearish and also closed in red today, Friday, 7th November 2025. The NGX ASI declined by 0.33% to close at 149,524.81 from 150,026.55, bringing the WoW and YTD return to -2.98% and 45.27% respectively. Similarly, the market capitalisation decreased by ₦318.78 billion to ₦94,998.13 trillion from ₦95,316.91 trillion recorded at the close of the previous trading day. Also, market turnover decreased to ₦15.382 billion from ₦16.503 billion.
The market breadth increased by 35.71% to 0.48x from 0.38x, as 19 stocks advanced, 40 stocks declined, and 87 stocks remained unchanged. NCR (9.94%), MCNICHOLS (9.82%), and EUNISELL (9.24%) led the market with positive performance, while BERGER (-10.00%) led the losers’ chart.
Sectoral performance was negative as NGXINDUSTR (-0.11%), NGXOILGAS (-0.25%), NGXCNSMRGDS (-0.47%), NGXBNK (-0.88%), and NGXINS (-2.15%) depreciated.
