Similarly, the market capitalization increased by N242.28 billion to N29.88 trillion from N29.64 trillion recorded at the close of the previous trading day, while the market turnover decreased to N3.68 billion from N4.23 billion.
The market breadth was positive at 1.54x as 20 stocks advanced and 13 stocks declined, while 70 stocks remained unchanged. LASACO topped the gainers’ list with +10.00%, while CWG declined by -9.38% to lead the losers’ chart. LASACO’s performance could be hinged on the company’s performance in the financial statement for the year ended 31 December 2022 stipulating profit of N1.48 billion and 15k per share dividend.
TRANSCORP and NGXGROUP recorded the highest volume and value for the day respectively.
