Equities Market
The Nigerian equities market closed the week bearish and also closed in red today, Friday, 21st November 2025. The NGX ASI declined by 0.32% to close at 143,722.62 from 144,187.03, bringing the WoW and YTD return to -2.24% and 39.64% respectively. Similarly, the market capitalisation decreased by ₦295.38 billion to ₦91,414.87 trillion from ₦91,710.25 trillion recorded at the close of the previous trading day. However, the market turnover increased to ₦25.615 billion from ₦9.297 billion.
The market breadth increased by 20.91% to 0.45x from 0.37x, as 17 stocks advanced, 38 stocks declined, and 92 stocks remained unchanged. NCR (9.89%), IKEJAHOTEL (9.78%), NEIMETH (9.09%), and MAYBAKER (8.60%) led the market with positive performance, while RTBRISCOE (-10.00%) and LEGENDINT (-9.93%) led the losers’ chart.
Sectoral performance was negative as NGXBNK (0.28%) appreciated, while NGXINDUSTR (-0.01%), NGXOILGAS (-0.08%), NGXCNSMRGDS (-0.16%), and NGXINS (-2.24%) depreciated.
