The Nigerian equities market closed trading activities in the last week of December 2023 on a positive note. The NGX All-Share Index and the Market Capitalization appreciated for the week by 1.01% to close the week at 74,773.77 and N40.918 trillion respectively.
Sixty-five (65) equities appreciated in price during the week, twenty-four (24) equities depreciated in price while sixty-six (66) equities remained unchanged higher than sixty-five (65) as recorded in the previous week.
The market opened for three trading days this week as Monday and Tuesday December 25th and 26th respectively was declared as public holidays meanwhile, a total turnover of 1.186 billion shares worth N31.424 billion in 23,969 deals was traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange.
