Market Review for the week ended 12th November, 2025
The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) All-Share Index (ASI) extended its bullish momentum from the previous week, appreciating by 1.63% week-on-week to close at 149,433.26 points, up from 147,040.08 points. Consequently, the year-to-date (YtD) return strengthened to 45.18%. Likewise, market capitalization closed on a positive note, rising by 1.64% to ₦95.264 trillion, compared to ₦93.722 trillion recorded in the prior week.
A total turnover of 4.373 billion shares, valued at ₦97.783 billion, was traded in 110,736 deals on the NGX during the week. This represents a 33.91% decline in volume, a 13.64% decrease in value, and a 1.05% increase in the number of deals, compared to the 6.617 billion shares worth ₦113.224 billion exchanged across 109,590 deals in the prior week. Sectoral performance was mixed across the tracked indices. The NGX Banking Index and the NGX Oil & Gas Index were the only decliners, dipping by 0.12% and 0.13%, respectively. In contrast, the NGX Insurance Index, NGX Consumer Goods Index, and NGX Industrial Goods Index advanced by 3.40%, 2.64%, and 0.23%, respectively.
Forty-nine (49) equities appreciated in price during the week, compared to fifty-five (55) gainers recorded in the previous week. MORISON (+32.49%), MECURE (+27.35%), JAPAULGOLD (+26.67%), SOVRENINS (+17.24%), and PZ (+16.19%) led the gainers’ chart. Conversely, forty-one (41) equities depreciated in price, higher than twenty-nine (29) decliners posted in the prior week. ETERNA emerged as the worst-performing stock, shedding 14.93% week-on-week (WoW).
