The NGX ASI rose by 0.02% to close at 147,013.59 from 146,981.17, bringing the WoW and YTD return to -1.68% and 42.83% respectively. Similarly, the market capitalisation increased by ₦20.62 billion to ₦93,501.45 trillion from ₦93,480.83 trillion recorded at the close of the previous trading day. Also, market turnover increased to ₦42.249 billion from ₦22.696 billion.
The market breadth decreased by 81.21% to 1.03x from 5.50x, as 31 stocks advanced, 30 stocks declined, and 86 stocks remained unchanged. PRESTIGE (9.84%), NCR (9.64%), ASOSAVINGS (9.57%) and GUINEAINS (9.57%) led the market with positive performance, while UNIONDICON (-10.00%) and TRIPPLEG (-9.98%) led the losers’ chart.
Sectoral performance was positive as NGXINDUSTR (1.39%), NGXOILGAS (0.09%), and NGXCNSMRGDS (0.06%) appreciated, While NGXINS (-0.05%), and NGXBNK (-1.40%) depreciated.
