The Nigerian equities market closed trading activities last week on a negative note. The NGX All-Share Index and the Market Capitalization depreciated by 0.75% to close the week at 62,569.73 and N34.069 trillion respectively.
Twenty-nine (29) equities appreciated in price during the week, seventy-seven (77) equities depreciated in price while fifty (50) equities remained unchanged, lower than twenty (53) equities recorded in the previous week.
The Uptrend was witnessed in some small and medium capitalized stocks, amongst which are; CHAMPION PLC (-31.52%), ACADEMY (-26.80%), WEMABANK PLC (-22.55%), STERLINGNG (-25.42%), FIDELITY BANK PLC (-24.97%), ETI (-23.03%), FBNH (-22.17%), UACN (-21.74%), ACCESSCORP (-20.27%) and LIVESTOCK (-19.80%).
