The market performance for the week however increased by 0.22% to 65,198.08 compared to 65,056.39 recorded at the beginning of the week (31/07/2023).
Similarly, the market capitalization decreased today by N35.37 billion to N35.479 trillion from N35.515 trillion recorded at the close of the previous trading day, while the market turnover increased to N6.073 billion from N5.087 billion recorded at the close of the previous trading day.
The market breadth was negative at 0.96x as 27 stocks advanced and 28 stocks declined, while 59 stocks remained unchanged. GLAXOSMITH topped the gainers’ list with +9.88% , while MEYER declined by -9.83% to lead the losers’ chart.
