The Nigerian equities market closed trading activities last week on a positive note. The NGX All-Share Index and the Market Capitalization appreciated for the week by 0.11% and 0.49% respectively to close the week at 66,454.57 and N36.510 trillion respectively. The discrepancy between the ASI and the Market Capitalization was as a result of the listing of NIDF, a N200 billion public infrastructure investment and VFD Plc Group.
Forty (40) equities appreciated in price during the week, thirty-six (36) equities depreciated in price while eighty-one (81) equities remained unchanged lower than seventy (83) equities recorded in the previous week.
