SEPLAT ENERGY Q1’2024 PERFORMANCE

Seplat Energy PLC (Seplat) is Nigeria’s leading indigenous energy company. Listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX: SEPLAT) and the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange (LSE: SEPL), Seplat’s energy portfolio consists of seven oil and gas blocks in the prolific Niger Delta region of Nigeria.

The Company’s Q1’2024 Share Price Performance

The Q1’2024 performance for Seplat Energy shows price appreciation in their stock to 45.89 per cent, about 42 per cent surge from 4.55 per cent recorded from there Q1’2023. The company stands out as the best performing company in the oil and sector among it pairs in their Q1’2024. This growth shows the impact from their FY 2023 financials.

The share price grew astronomically from N1,150 at the close of Q1’2023 to N3,370 at the close of Q1’2024.

PROJECTION

We project that holders of this company’s share should hold on to their shares as the company’s shares have the potential of further price appreciation. In addition to their interest in acquiring 40 per cent of ExxonMobil, we foresee share price appreciation.
DIVIDEND
During the year, the Directors recommended and paid to members quarterly interim dividends of US3cents per share, declared in April, July and October. The Board of Seplat is recommending a final dividend of US3.0 cents per share and a special dividend of US3.0cents per share. The final dividend is subject to approval of shareholders, at the AGM which will be held on 16 May 2024 in Lagos, Nigeria.
