Ok, Let’s dive right in.
What is IPPIS?
IPPIS is a program aimed to centralize and organize a database system with all the needed employee information for proper work in the Nigerian Public Service. This is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of payroll administration for its Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.
The full meaning of IPPIS is Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System.
IPPIS allows for easy payment of salaries to the Government workers’ bank accounts with suitable remittances and deductions of third-party payments, such as:
- Administrator of Pension Fund
- Service of Federal Inland
- Bank Loans
- Cooperative Societies
- Revenue Association Dues
- The Fund of National Housing
- Trade Unions Dues
The Federal Civil Service through several channels has invited all its workers to update their records online through the registration portal of the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Management System (IPPIS).
If you have a verified IPPIS number and you collect your salary through REMITA, then you can proceed to apply for any loan at our bank.

Are you credit-worthy?
To be awarded any loan, your bank or lending company will have to evaluate you and determine if you will be able to repay your loan.
Your creditworthiness is determined by several factors including:
- your repayment history for any previous loan
- If you have another existing loan with another bank or lending company
- your income compared to the loan amount and repayment duration
- your guarantors’ capability of taking responsibility for your loan
Your creditworthiness is important because it will determine whether you get the loan you applied for.
But that’s not all.
The more creditworthy you are, the better it is for you because your loan application is approved faster compared to a poor creditworthy person.
