Similarly, the market capitalization increased by N440.93 billion to N29.64 trillion from N29.20 trillion recorded at the close of the previous trading day, while the market turnover increased to N4.23 billion from N3.26 billion.
The market breadth was positive at 2.6x as 23 stocks advanced and 9 stocks declined, while 85 stocks remained unchanged. OANDO topped the gainers’ list with +9.98%, while PZ declined by -5.88% to lead the losers’ chart. Oando’s performance could be as a result of the company’s declaration of Profit After Tax (PAT) of 34.7B for the year ended December 2021, compared to the Loss- after -Tax of N140.7 billion in the 20220 financial year. TRANSCORP TRANSCORP and FIDELITY recorded the highest volume and value for the day respectively.
