The Nigerian equities market closed trading activities last week on a positive note. The NGX All-Share Index and the Market Capitalization appreciated by 0.34% to close the week at 59,206.63 and N32.237 trillion respectively.
Sixty-two (62) equities appreciated in price during the week, thirty-five (35) equities depreciated in price while fifty-nine (59) equities remained unchanged, higher than fifty-five (55) equities recorded in the previous week.
The Uptrend was witnessed in some small and medium capitalized stocks, amongst which are; SKYWAY AVIATION HANDLING COMPANY PLC (+44.53%), FTN COCOA PROCESSORS PLC (+40.74%), CHAMS HOLDING COMPANY PLC (+35.71%), JAPAUL GOLD & VENTURES PLC (+32.65%), GOLDEN GUINEA BREW. PLC (+31.13%), THE INITIATES PLC (+30.77%), R T BRISCOE PLC. (+29.41%), CORONATION INSURANCE PLC (+28.79%), CONSOLIDATED HALLMARK INSURANCE PLC (+25.45%) and TRANSCORP HOTELS PLC (+20.55%).
