The Nigerian equities market closed trading activities last week on a positive note. The NGX All-Share Index and the Market Capitalization appreciated by 3.40 % to close the week at 63,040.41 and N34.326 trillion respectively.
Seventy-eight (78) equities appreciated in price during the week, twenty-five (25) equities depreciated in price while fifty-three (53) equities remained unchanged, higher than twenty (20) equities recorded in the previous week.
The Uptrend was witnessed in some small and medium capitalized stocks, amongst which are; JAPAUL GOLD & VENTURES PLC (+58.57%), CONSOLIDATED HALLMARK INSURANCE PLC (+57.32%), CHAMS HOLDING COMPANY PLC (+56.76%), OMATEK VENTURES PLC (+52.78%), VERITAS KAPITAL ASSURANCE PLC (+47.83%), E-TRANZACT INTERNATIONAL PLC (+45.89%), TRANSCORP HOTELS PLC (+39.53%), UNITY BANK PLC (+37.29%), ETERNA PLC (+35.24%) and FTN COCOA PROCESSORS PLC (+33.47%).
