Similarly, the market capitalization decreased by ₦7.56 billion to ₦66.344 trillion from ₦66.352 trillion recorded at the previous trading day’s close. Also, the market turnover decreased to 7.049 billion from ₦11.057 billion.
The market breadth was negative at 0.51X as 18 stocks advanced and 35 stocks declined, while 69 stocks remained unchanged. ACADEMY topped the gainers’ list with 9.92%, while ETRANZACT declined by 10.00% to lead the losers’ chart.
JAIZBANK recorded the highest volume and MTNN recorded the highest value for the day.

The Nigerian stock market started the week on a negative note, as the ASI Index dipped on the first day of trading. Cautious investor sentiment at the market opening paved the way for profit-taking, culminating in a negative close.
